Being apart from their owner and adjusting to a new setting can be stressful for pets. At Nile Pet Boarding, our goal is to make this transition as smooth and comfortable as possible for your animal companion.
Whether you're traveling outside Uganda for a few weeks or several months, you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is enjoying a safe and stimulating environment, with plenty of space, activities, and beautiful surroundings. Contact Nile Pet Boarding Kennels and Cattery to ensure your pet is well cared for while you're away
For more than 20 years, we have worked closely with our trusted local veterinarian, Dr. Herbert Wambi, whose expertise has been vital in maintaining the health and happiness of our horses, dogs, and cats. He remains an integral member of our team. To keep dogs active and mentally engaged, we mostly keep dogs in small groups of similar age and temperament, depending on the owner's preference.
Our rates vary based on your pet's size, any special needs they may have, and whether you're boarding multiple pets with us. Please provide us with as many details as possible when you contact us, so we can offer you an accurate quote for your pet's stay.
We feed dogs twice daily-morning and evening-and provide them with a bone to chew and play with. Chewing bones not only keeps dogs entertained for hours but also supports healthy teeth and gums. If your pet has specific dietary requirements, we are happy to accommodate them. Mealtime also serves as a chance for us to reinforce basic manners and promote calm behavior, making care even smoother. Cats are also fed twice a day, with options including dry biscuits or a mix of biscuits and wet food, tailored to the owner's preferences.
We require all dogs and cats to be vaccinated before staying with us. Rabies is a common and serious concern among street dogs in Uganda, so it is essential that you provide your pet's vaccination history upon arrival. If your pet's vaccinations are not up to date, they will need to be vaccinated on-site to protect the health and safety of all animals and staff at the facility.
