Nile Pet Boarding Kennels and Cattery was created to address the need for quality animal care in Uganda, especially for pet owners seeking reliable holiday care. Operating on a spacious 7-acre farm, the pet boarding service grew as a natural extension of our existing horse riding business. We started with 7 dogs, 3 cats, and 6 horses, quickly earning the trust and relief of many pet owners.
Originally from New Zealand and Australia, Natalie is now a Ugandan citizen, and TJ is a resident. Along with our dedicated ground staff, we form a team committed to ensuring dogs receive ample exercise and attention. Although new to the kennel business, we bring 20 years of experience in structured animal care through our work with horses and our own dogs and cats. As passionate animal lovers, we believe that a happy pet requires a safe environment, nutritious food, individual love and attention, regular exercise, and mental stimulation
Fairly sure this is the best place for dogs in Uganda, if not on earth! My dogs were taken in at a last minute notice (as I left the country for COVID) and it was the best decision I could have made. They are so loved, they run around with freedom and friends in acres of space. The best part is the constant videos I get of them from Natalie and the team. Highly recommend!!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to lock our fur babies in our home in the prayer they would be ok and we could make a plan to keep them safe until our return home. With a covert undercover operation, Coco and Ruby were safely moved, loaded onto a boat and were whisked away to the fabulous cattery at Nile Pet Boarding - we could not have our prayers answered in a better way. Our kitties were showered with love and attention, were warm and safe - even ending up sleeping on the bed with their care taker. We are so grateful and extremely thankful at the lengths and dedication this awesome team go to keep our fur kids safe, loved and well fed. Thank you Nat, TJ, Kya and team. Without you guys our kitties would certainly have had a different ending. Best thing to happen to Jinja pets for sure.

I highly recommend Nile Pet Boarding. She looked after my cat for 2 months when we had to leave uganda unexpectedly. She loved and cared for her and helped reunite us all. Our cat was very happy and comfortable through her stay!

Our girls had a great time at Nile Pet Boarding kennels. We were impressed by the professional staff, the healthy raw meat diet & the daily walks. The dogs enjoyed barking at the monkeys, watching the horses and interacting with the other dogs, making Nile Pet Boarding Kennels a much more stimulating experience than many traditional kennels.

Thank you Nile Pet Boarding for the exceptional care you are providing. Our kids were so upset to leave Uganda (and their beloved cat!) at such short notice. Your video updates have been the highlight of our lockdown period. It has been so reassuring to see him settled and happy. Thanks also for the hassle free transport service and for making your payment process so easy. Can't recommend your servies highly enough!

We left our miniature Schnauzer with Nile Pet Boarding Kennels while we were travelling and she simply loved it there. They kept us up to date with note and videos, to show what she was doing and how she was getting on with the other boarders. We could see how much Lola loved being with the carers and the other dogs. They always seemed to be really active and playing happily. She came back fitter and leaner and extremely well socialised, which was great to see in a dog from a single-pet home. We recommend the kennels most highly and are certain that Lola would be very happy to stay there again
